Just when you thought it was safe . . . well, anyone who’s aware of DDoS attacks probably knew nothing is really safe.

Allstream partner Arbor Networks recently published an in-depth look at the global trends around distributed denial of service attacks via its monitoring system, ATLAS. None of the numbers are particularly good: the frequency, duration and impact of DDoS attacks all seem to be increasing. It only underscores how Canadian IT departments need to stay aware of the risks, and to put a plan in place. Use this deck as a starting point to begin that journey.
